Finding Nemo -7.5 million vs Bruce Almighty...

I'm not touching this one... I've got Finding Nemo coming in at right around $50 million or so for the weekend, and I imagine that Bruce Almighty will take in around $45, so definitely not enough cushion space for me to make a good bet on it.

Yeah if anything maybe Bruce Almighty would be the way to go here, but it's impossible to say, I guess.

here in the so cal area - anyone buying $30 of certain kinds of products gets 2 FREE passes to see nemo. don't know if this means these passes will count towards the gate - or not. if they do (and i think they will) that will help nemo greatly.

I'm not sure. I see Bruce Almighty making anywhere between 50 and 60 mil for the 3 day, and, I can't imagine Finding Nemo making more than that, let alone 7.5 million more. I haven't played it officialy yet, but, it's a strong lean right now. My guess is that Bruce Almighty wins this one outright.

I believe that finding Nemo has the advantage of the "parent factor",no single watchers, correct me if I am wrong.
Is Jimmy Carey still popular?

I took Bruce Almighty here, even at -150. Most all of the expert predictions aren't out for Bruce yet, but I bet they are around 53 million. Monsters Inc. did 62.5 million, so this is a big gamble. But I'm just not seeing the hype for Nemo that I did for Monsters, so I think it might actually make a little less, even though personally I think it looks more interesting... but I could be wrong. Bruce's prediction range is very wide, as well, and it might not even hit 50. I'm hoping for 56, though.

well I was WAY off on my Bruce estimate, origionally I thought it was going to be a huge hit but after researching it 70 million just seemed next to impossible. I mean, shit, it almost did as well as Goldmember which made 73 million! And Austin Powers was a pop culture phenomenon. Anyways, 77 million over Finding Nemo is looking pretty good, but who knows nowadays, I'm starting to get scared of betting on summer movies...

I still don't think Nemo will go over 70 million, though.
